With the amount of money Richards has already been paid, would a team not planning on being at the cap limit be more interested in the remainder of his contract? Maybe a team like Nashville who has been looking for any sort of offensive boost for years? Would BR waive his NMC?

After this season he makes:

9 million
8.5 million
8.5 million
7 million
1 million
1 million
1 million

He makes 12 million this year.

That would mean he would have an internal cap hit of 5.14 million over the next 7 years. A lot more reasonable than the close to 7 he signed to begin with.
