As for Vancouver, they have Volpatti and Weise now, who are bigger versions of Tanner Glass basically. But they also have Kassian, which we do not have. Besides, we never wanna be associated with Vancouver (Burrows, Lapierre, Kesler)...I hate that team.
Basically, you believe that unless you can have a Kassian or a Reaves, you shouldn't have a tough guy. And I believe it'd be GREAT to have a Kassian or Reaves, but if you can't you take what you have.
It's just two different schools of thought.

but to add to your point. their line up is filled with toughness
