I also don't believe anything I read in the papers anymore, but if this is true, Wang won't be known for keeping the Islanders on LI like he was 10 years ago; he'll be known as the guy who moved the Islanders from LI.
I fall into this category. I'm not a big fan of riding public transportation.

One of the reasons I probably became an Islanders fan was because of convenience. Growing up in Queens Village, it was easier to drive to the Coliseum than to get on a bus to Jamaica to get the subway to the Garden. My father took me to my first game at the Coliseum in 1972 and was hooked on this team from then. The reason he is an Islanders fan was because it was easier to get Islanders tickets back then than Rangers tickets.

If this team wasn't located where they were in 1972 I probably do not become a hockey fan at all.
