Bryzgalov complete **** the bed against Jersey; we just put four past Miller. 5 - 2 Penguins. Malkin wakes up and has a 4 point night, all goals and primary assists. The first period is dominated by the Penguins, with Crosby scoring a spectacular unassisted goal and Neal coverting on two laser-sharp passes from Geno. Unfortunately, the Flyers wake up early in the 2nd and Fleury lets in a soft goal courtesy of Talbot, to cut into our 3 - 0 lead. Fleury also gets screwed over a few minutes later when the referee misses an interference call on Briere, putting Fleury badly out of position and netting Giroux a lucky goal. In response, Malkin goes into beast mode and takes over the game, scoring 2 more late in the 2nd. Confident that victory is already assured while also frustrated by the usual Philly cheap shots, the boys gets a little sloppy in the 3rd, making defensive gaffes, and taking some bad retaliation penalties. Luckily, Fleury plays one of the best periods of his career to prevent Philly from charging back and allowing the Pens to maintain a 3 goal lead in a chippy 20 minutes dominated by the Flyers. After the game, a gang of obnoxious Philly fans who made the trip across the state make childish remarks about Crosby and try to start **** in the parking lot with an unassuming young father in a Fleury T-Shirt and his two young boys in matching Winter Classic Crosby jerseys, only to get their ***** kicked by a huge bouncer-looking guy in a Craig Adams coat. To make matters worse for the ********, they're uninsured and have to auction off their season tickets and sell all their vintage Flyers memorabilia to pay for the resulting treatment at UPMC, which is presided over by a charismatic young doctor with a fancy Penguins watch.
