Who is replacing his production? You had a nice run without him in the lineup because the team geled with all those call ups, but it doesn't mean they can carry it over for a full season. You guys really have to take that streak at the end with a grain of salt. Your season over by the time the team left MTL. The kids and Aubin were playing for jobs/contracts, while Sundin went on the hottest streak of his career. I dont think either of those things can be sustained over the long haul.

Going by your logic, the Leafs had a great run in the 2002 playoffs without Sundin. As soon as Sundin stepped back into the lineup, the team started losing. Does it mean you are better without Sundin?
