You know, Claude Giroux and Sidney Crosby both got off to slow starts this season. For the first couple of weeks, neither was playing anywhere near up to normal standards. I guess their teams should have stripped them of their letters and shipped them out of town.
Shea Weber has been playing like crap until this week, too. Strip him of that C! Buy him out! Rabble rabble rabble!
How about before we strip Richards of his A, buy him out, and condemn him to burn in hell for all of eternity, we first figure out who exactly would be replacing him in the lineup. I know, this is ultimately inconsequential, as the popular thing to do here is to only act in the now and pay no heed to the later, but let's just consider for one moment what exactly the plan of action is should Richards be bought out.
Shea Weber, Giroux, and Crosby are all on the right side of 30. Cuz, you know, we've done such an amazing job with free-agent signings 'n all. Gee, if only if I had some history to draw upon.
I agree we should have a plan, should we buy him out. We should also not sign guys over 30 to massive contracts.
