Why Anaheim? Because there's a great deal of mutual respect between Anaheim's front office and Brian Burke. There was no bitterness between Burke and the Ducks when he left for Toronto - The organization knew how much that position meant to Burke, they didn't want to see him go, but at the same time were happy for him for landing his dream job. I'm sure Burke appreciated how the Ducks organization handled the process, and maybe him taking this position is a result of that.

Simply put, it's great to have Burke back with the Ducks, and it's a good position to have him in. He's a great judge of talent and knows what it takes to build a successful hockey team. Having a guy like Burke to, at the very least, just consult with on players and trades will prove to be very valuable. Murray and Burke have two different approaches to building a team but they are the same in that they are very passionate about winning. They've already proven to be a great duo. Burke will find himself in a bigger role in the future, hopefully in Anaheim, but if it's with another team then so be it.

Welcome back Burkie.
