Demers will be a top defenseman for the Sharks for a long time.
He is 10 games into his NHL career. We usually don't label top prospects, 10 games into their careers "depth players" as to mean that's what he is expected to be. Demers has had a longer time to establish himself and he is where he is. And your D is not stacked; not sure who wrote that but that is a big time exaggeration. we can have both because the comparison is apples and oranges.
