Nonis probably could've moved Connolly at the beginning of the season similar to what he did with Lombardi. However, by getting him to clear waivers, he manages to stockpile a centre in the AHL should we get one or two hurt. Thus far, our injuries have all been on the wing, so Connolly remains in the AHL.

The offers for Connolly are going to be built around picks/prospects, and they're only going to get better at the deadline. When the deadline rolls around, if it still looks like we won't need him, then trade hiim... but we're not there yet.
