I'm a little scared by those "we're not there yet, but we're close" comments from Yeo. After a crappy win he often says that the team did things right; well, part of it has to be true since win's a win.
I think one of the things why a guy like PMB doesn't play well now is because the game is too detailed. I mean, detailed game is great but there's a fine line between detailed hockey and fantasy hockey. To put it simply: the system is too strict. The dumping and chasing and puckless play goes too far, you need to control the puck to keep the momentum going. It's always easier to contain offensive threats along the boards than it is to contain them when there's a chance to outplay/outthink the opponent.
I still don't want to replace him. I believe the system can be great with a few corrections here and there.
