Parise played on one PK unit. The impact he had on the penalty kill was minimal at best. The same four defensemen are still rotating in, the same five or six other forwards that were on the record setting PK last year are as well. The loss of Zubrus has hurt our PK too. Other than that, our three main forward pairings were Parise-Henrique, Elias-Zubrus, Carter-Kovalchuk, and eventually Zajac. Every other one of those forwards are here.

There was four, five, or six other forwards rotating in on that same penalty kill unit.

The biggest impact from Parise leaving is his forechecking in the offensive zone even strength and in shootouts.
