Worrying about having enough cap room to re-sign your key players, something that the Canucks, Flyers, Sharks, and Penguins seem perfectly capable of doing, is a much better problem to have then not having enough of them to sign in the first place.
YA they went to the finals in 06 and started a rebuild the next year. Without PRonger they sucked.

We didn't even start our Renovation under Burke until Nov. 2008. And Cliff retarded the process by trading Steen days before Burke took over.

So ya. We are better right now. We went from crappy to decent way faster then they have.
