Bobby should have known that this would happen when he took a player with Rich Winter as his agent.
Back in 1989 Bobby Clarke vowed never to deal with Winter again after the whole Hextall contract disputes.
Look at a few of the more recent charades of this wonderful agent's portfolio and remember the headaches the GM's had with each player.
Bondra (ended up being suspended 13 games) - Washington
Satan - Rich requested trade from Edmonton that didn't turn out too good for the Oilers. (got Millar & Moore)
Svelha - Retiring, not retiring, agent advised him not to sign papers.
Comrie - Nevermind
Hasek - Could be a blessing for the Flyers in disguise.
Elias - Heldout after he seen what Rafalski got.
Prospal - $$
Stefan - The Entry Draft medical fiasco.
I'm sure there's more.
