if bob is having a hard time signing ryder because of his high demand in salary, why not use him in a trade to upgrade your size up front.

to nashville : ryder, ribeiro and a 3rd round draft pick 2007
to montreal : hartnell and legwand and a 2nd round for 2007


both ryder and ribeiro have put up better numbers than these 2, but hartnell is a big
power forward who's game is better rounded defensively and coming on offensively.as for legwand putting him at center between samsonov and kovalev will
only see him bring his game to the next level. Legwand is a much better skater than
ribeiro and more responsable defensively not to mention bigger physically.

i don't know what both players from nashville were making last season and i know
they are both restricted free agents and have yet to sign with nashville, but i think
between both of them i would suspect around 3.5 to 4 million for both.


what do you guys all think about this suggestion.
