You're confusing our biggest fear with our biggest WISH. If that were to happen and the compensation was crappy, as you put it, Avs management would then just exercise their right to match the offer and be able to say "
didn't give him that contract out of entry level....X team did".
Which is what this whole thing is about, which is what part of the lockout was about.
IF the Avs were one of the teams pushing for teams NOT to give insane money to players coming out of Entry Level during the lockout, don't you think it would look pretty bad on them if they handed RoR the kind of contract you're suggesting?
