Eh, whoever gets broadcast rights is not a concern. What is a concern is a much bigger portion of games being shifted to cable, and being a pay service. I'm sure that eventually we will have to pay a fee for service, whether it's a subscription or a pay-per-view charge.

On the other hand, the next contract probably will allow for even more games to be shown, which is what the NHL also needs with the next American broadcast contract. Having more games on television and the internet will grow the game in the US, no doubt about it.
