Is the board really "blocking" Wenger from adding top notch talent, is Wenger refusing to bring in quality players of a certain age cause he likes to mold his prospects a certain way, does the board actually care if this team racks up trophy's or do they just satisfied making profits.

Can someone explain to me why rumours like that fly around year after year with no end result? Why doesn't any reporter go straight to the source to ask the board all those questions? Is there a sound bite from one of the owners, saying they have all the intentions in the world to upgrade the talent on the pitch?
I think it's an issue of the board not wanting to spend and Wenger being a tight wad socialist, doesn't want to sign anyone who would upset the wage structure of his club.

The irony is Wenger is one of the highest paid managers in world football.
