Defense is the difference this year

This is what a few posters were saying last year: IF Chicago played a structured and committed defensive game, as a 5-man unit on the ice, the goaltending would take care of itself.
Thus far, that's exactly how it's worked out. Crow and Emery haven't had to be spectacular (save the Calgary game) and their numbers are ridiculous.
