I'm in Calgary and am a Telus Optik TV subscriber and Sportsnet is not part of the basic channel package. You have to pay extra for the sports package. I just looked into Shaw and it's not part of their basic cable package either, you have to get their mid-level Channel package that they call "Classic Cable". I'll never get the sense of entitlement that TSN Jets should be "free". Nothing is free.
