Seriously, we look so little when we act like this. Try to grow up and give them some respect; their fans were a big part of their winning it all this year.
Hès being honest. Most fans in those states are at best... Fair Weather fans.
They think hockeys cool cause of the contact, and speed... but theyre not as knowledgeable about the game, so they need other incentives to keep them occupied.

NHL hockey is like the Toronto Rock in many places... If they can support a team, thats great... but lets not kid ourselves. Look at Mike Johnsons first words about becoming a Montreal Canadien: Its nice to go somewhere where Hockey means something to the fans.

Its all part of the development... over years they will build their fanbase to have more diehards... buit it takes a while... Tampa was giving away playoff tickets in their cup run season... Find one team above the sunbelt with those kind of issues...

Many places can become a great place for hockey, but I dont believe in turning it in to the Superbowl in order to retain interest. If the teams fans arent interested in the game, move it to somewhere where the team will have the appreciation of the crowd. Theres plenty of those type of places still to choose from... Like Halifax, Quebec, Winnipeg, or perhaps even Portland, Seattle, or Regina.
