Waivers has nothing to do with what type of contract a player has, but rather how many years service the player has in Pro hockey. Once any given player passes the threshold for Pro service it makes no difference whether that player is on a 1-way or 2-way deal, they have to pass through waivers. Right, I knew the difference between 1-way and 2-way, I just didn't know if the new contract extension would have anything to do with his waiver eligibility, or remember what the game number threshold was.
