And several other games when the season started. Most recently, before being benched again ,he had 5 points in 5 games on Kopi's line. He's looked good, better than Penner and Dwight King, but for some reason , Sutter just doesn't like hm. Maybe it's because he's not a Sutter type player, he's not physical?

He had a tennis ball sized mass removed from his neck (which he said was growing for years) end of June. He said after the surgery that for thjis first time since 2009 he was pain free, not on 'lots of pain killers' and looking forward to the season.

I love Gagne, one of my favorite players and I wouldn't bet that he didn't ask Lombardi to trad e him when it became clear he was not in Sutter's plans for this team and I can see LOmbardi doing that for him, calling Homer. He's worked hard to rehab and in an offensive driven system like Lavvy's he'll fare better than in the Kings defensive system.

At least he cup his Stanley Cup ring and his name on the Cup....
