Rockford isnt a very good litmus test. Saad was buried on the fourth line down there yet he makes the Hawks roster. Not really surprising considering his pro size and motor.

As far as a comparison of Kruger and Pirri go...

Kruger has significantly developed his game from the start of last year when he was taking a beating by the posters on the boards here despite his previous experience playing against men in the SEL and being his first year in the NHL.

Pirri is a year younger than Kruger and hasnt played at a level above the AHL. A couple of NHL games is really meaningless however he has significantly produced offense at every level.

So with Pirri and Kruger playing at the same level earlier this year at Rockford and with Kruger having a significant experience at a higher level of play first in the SEL and then NHL and being a year older than Pirri, yet offensively they played almost even.

All around play, Kruger is excellent defensively and has showed it this year. Cant really compare Pirri to Kruger in that department because Pirri hasnt had any opportunity for that either. Not saying Pirri will be better because I like Krugers play but Im not dismissing Pirri either.
