Normally after you win a cup, you don't make too many drastic changes to your roster, but buffalo has gone against that thought. The 2015-2016 Stanley Cup Champs have not been quiet during the offseason. The Buffalo Sabres reached an agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks in a move that has brought fellow Buffalonian Patrick Kane to the team. "This was a move that has been in the works for four years here in buffalo. We have been eyeing Patrick ever since this leagues inception. When the Blackhawks approached us to see if we were still interested, we were ecstatic to say the least," explained GM Stockey. In order to get Kane the sabres had to give up Jeff Skinner, Conn Smythe Winner Nick Foligno, and Mark Pysyk, an up and coming defenseman.

There has also been a big change in depth in the Sabres organization. With Skinners departure and Kane's apparent move to RW for the team, 22 year old Mikhail Grigorenko will take the reigns as #1 Center and will be between Thomas Vanek and Kane.

"**** that" -Peter Mueller

Ryan Miller was asked what will the Sabres do now that they have won the Stanley cup. He said one word... "Repeat"

Woah there millsie, Easier said than done my friend. The NE division has not gotten easier since last season. Ottawa just signed a huge deal with Chris Kreider and expects to contend. Montreal has also boosted their roster with the addition of a couple FAs including David Backes. "We actually had a deal that would have brought Alex Galchenyuk here to be the #1 center but the signing of Backes stopped that from happening." Bitter GM Stockey has personally guaranteed a flawless record vs Montreal because of what happened. Boston should be better than past years with the entrance of a new GM. *Enter Toronto comment here*
