No farther than here, Gainey isn't the one negociating contracts (I can't recall the guys' name). he may be the one dictating the "architecture" of the salary total, but he's no business man. And it's Timmins who's in charge of the scouting. So if Snow is intelligent enough to surround himself that way, we may be surprised.
