I don't see any reason why the Leafs would move roster players for futures. They're steadily building a team and are now more than likely going to be a consistent playoff team. Why would they act like a rebuilding team? They'll move assets they deem expendable for assets they think they need. The way I see it they have an over abundance of wingers and need a steady defenceman that can eat a solid 20+ minutes a game
