Going into the season, i wouldn't have said that. Would have thought for this team to challenge for a playoff spot, there would have had to be changes in the top 6, or with the guys getting bigger minutes.

I said the team didn't have to change... just needed a >0.915 sv% avg which is last seasons average (or have as many games as possible above 0.900).
This team is (barely) above average and therefore it lives and die at the goaltending.
So far for Pavelec:
0.930 in wins
0.875 in loses
So far for Montoya:
0.931 in wins
0.783 in loses
In games where Jets' get goaltending at or above 0.900 (which is well below league average):
In games where Jets' get goaltending below 0.900:
I also said that we'd need our top4 D to be healthy too >_< that didn't work out so well...
