...but Gallagher has never regularly been the 3rd man in, at any level (since being drafted, anyway). His whole game is based on being aggressive in puck pursuit. And, to bring it back to the post about Desharnais - if anything DD has
of that cerebral, 3rd man in attitude than Plekanec, Eller or Galchenyuk.
I don't think you re-arrange roles strictly by size. I rarely saw Tyler Kennedy hang back as the 3rd man in to let Staal or Malkin go kamikaze.
