He was playing in Kingston up until last year, and that (not a very good team) combined with some size concerns in his first couple years in the league led to his not being drafted.
Year Team GP G A PTS PIMS
2008-09 Kingston Frontenacs OHL 68 2 7 9 22
2009-10 Kingston Frontenacs OHL 62 4 12 16 31
2010-11 Kingston Frontenacs OHL 68 13 25 38 32
2011-12 Sarnia Sting OHL 68 20 67 87 32
2012-13 Sarnia Sting OHL 62 22 78 100 28
These are his stats over his 5 year career in the OHL. Sarnia isn't a fantastic team by any means, but Charlie has taken the reigns as Captain with the departure of Alex Galchenyuk to MTL and has really run with it. Doesn't hurt that he has the OHL's leading goal scorer to pass to in Reid Boucher.
