So who are the offensive stars (young guys) for the Marlies that would be part of the Leafs' future?
To be honest, I don't think there are any. I think Joe Colborne is the best of the bunch down there, in terms of forwards. He's got solid two-way potential, as a smart, defensively conscious, playmaking pivot.

Outside of that, our best offensive hopes lie in the still developing prospects in Junior/NCAA ranks.

I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised with some of the guys with less exposure. I've had a couple viewings of MacWilliam and Knodel in action, and MacWilliam is definitely farther along, but the ceiling for Knodel is much higher, as a BIG two-way D-man. Knodel will benefit greatly from some face time with Barbara Underhill. When he smooths out the skating, he's going to be a really solid player.

MacWilliam is a beauty. This is the kind of guy you give a letter to. He's a leader on the ice and in the room, he's smart, plays well positionally, and hits like a truck. MacWilliam punishes people.
