mmhmm, given that goalie success rates are pretty standard from the secod round to the seventh, and that they generally take longer, getting the extra year of protection from the NCAA as well as having the same success rate makes it a very logical approach.

Ie: quality/succes rate of forwards/dman avaialbele in the 1st-3rd compared to those available in the fifth-7th is pretty far apart, where as the difference is much smaller for goalies.

and if he's gonna take 5 years to develope anyways, might as well get an extra one in for free
