Shooting mats vs dryland tiles for indoor practice

Been playing for 3 months now after a 20+ year hiatus (I'm 34) and I'm totally hooked. Just stumbled across products like

http://www.hockeyshot.com/Hockey-Sho...-Mats-s/70.htm

and was wondering what people's opinions were on the cheaper option (the $90 mat) vs dryland expandable tiles. With the latter, I could easily see myself dropping ~$500 to make a little rectangle to play on in my basement. They're about $4.50/sq ft.

Also read about crazy indoor plastics that you can skate on(!!!) but they're like $15/sq ft.

Any advice/suggestions much appreciated. I'm just looking to get daily stickhandling/passing/shooting practice in, and this would be a lot cheaper than ice time!
