Also, it has nothing to do with playing hockey or not. I'm aware of the physics in the situation.
I'll go with the opinion of a spinal surgeon.
. He hits Ennis in the midst of turning (I think he went chest first into the boards and then hit his head) while Richards was square to the boards before the hit. I know you didn't say Richards sold it and I certainly didn't mean to imply that you did. The guy had to be in complete shock at first thinking "Holy S***, I might be paralyzed", could have had a stinger, who knows. Saying he sold that is a stretch in my opinion.
