In 1992-93 Boston finished with the second best record in the NHL with 109 points.

Buffalo finished 4th in the Adams with 86 points.

Andy Moog was firmly Boston's number one and Grant Fuhr was number one in Buffalo despite Dominic Hasek sitting on the bench.

Buffalo wins game one in Boston --- 5-4 in overtime.

Buffalo wins game two in Boston --- 4-0

Buffalo wins game three in Buffalo ---4-3 in overtime.

Buffalo completes the sweep in Buffalo --- 6-5 in overtime.

Andy Moog essentially played 2 and a half games with a goals against average of 5.22 and a save percentage of .791

It got so bad for Boston that journeyman John Blue started game 3.

After the season, Moog gets coldy flipped to Minnesota for Jon "the amazing technicolor Five hole" Casey.
