These hit or miss players sign short term, low money (~800k), one way deals which are terminated if it doesn't work out. Kovalev is recent example of such case
Kovalev has just gotten old, he couldn't perform in the KHL either the last time he was seen there. To call him a hit or miss player is wrong.
