I agree, I just don't see any evidence that management agrees. I think there needs to be a balance. You need to have some system depth in case of injuries, losing players to free agency, and for trade parts. You also can't collect so many prospects that they can't develop. It is a fine balance that only a few organization really seem to pull off well.
