Can anyone slot Pateryn as a potential NHL top pairing d-man?
To me he seems like the ''mistake free'' 3rd pairing updside d-man and I haven't even watched him.
Not a bad example at all in terms of paying attention to prospects. I was just showing that even a mid pick can develop.
He said he only pays attention to Beaulieu, Tinordi, Leblanc and Gallagher.
Which is fine, but if that's the case, he shouldn't dismiss the rest as nobodies. Anyways, I think we both got our points across.
As for Pateryn, his upside is Gorges territory (perhaps a little worse skater, but much stronger). A conservative projection is 3rd pairing player that can slot into the PK and PP.
