other people have suggested these things, but most important is giving kassian an extended shot on the first unit in front of the net. will do wonders, if only to cut down on unnecessary wear and tear on burrows, and when he comes back also to kesler.

i'd also put barker on the point on the first unit to give it a shot. he sucks at everything except getting shots through. if he's going to be in the lineup anyway, and if our PP is going to be firing blanks, what's the worst that could happen? might as well see if it works. and if it does, which isn't probable, but worth it to find out, then i wouldn't mind him as a specialist in the playoffs. give him a fourth line wing spot, but never actually play him unless we have the man advantage. would also be nice to have someone able to slot back on D if/when someone gets injured rather than going with five D for the rest of the game.

if barker doesn't work, get gary back there. really, best case scenario is hank directing traffic with edler and gary/barker firing bombs. opens up space for sedinery, which a big body like kassian also does.

on the second unit, scrotes handles the puck. we don't have a decent point man, and no one else other than the sedins has the vision to do this. boots in front of the net, raymond as the third forward. i guess hamhuis on the point with gary, though maybe try ballard with gary as well? ballard was a capable second unit PP guy his first couple of years with phoenix.

now:

sedin sedin kassian
edler barker

boots scrotes raymond
hamhuis gary

when everyone's healthy:

sedin sedin kassian
kesler edler

boots scrotes raymond
bieksa gary

if by some crazy fluke barker works, slot him in kesler's place on the first unit, and second unit is:

boots kesler scrotes
bieksa gary
