Obviously being from the area, the State, I'd imagine you paid far closer attention to the situation than I ever did. Maybe his vision was blurred during his tenure with the Sabres. Seeing things through a veil of tears after that old Bastid Pollock handed the GM's reins to Grundman, forcing him out of Montreal. Possible. Emotionally damaged, depressed through the entire decade of the 80's. Ive wondered about that actually.
