Except he's not... there is literally no metric by which Schneider is better than Varlamov...

St Louis offered the 11th overall pick for Schneider 2 years ago, and he is better now.

The only merit any argument has against Schneider is that he had not been a starter. Well, he is now.
Yes he is now... and he is as mediocre as everyone thought he was going to be... you don't get full value for Schneider as a starter because right now he is no better than someone like Dubnyk... and I don't see anyone pitching Dubnyk for Henrique++.

Hes taking his lumps and going through his growing pains. When he is traded in the off season that will no longer be an issue. I am sure the return will be fine.
"Fine" but not at a superstar level, which is what you are asking for...
