I think the addition of MacT to the management team kind of pokes holes in your theory. They've set Tambo as the patsy probably since soon after they hired him. MacT can and will step in at some point; end of the season if they finish near the bottom, mid next season if they climb out of the bottom 5 this season and start slow next. They'll fire Tambo to appease the fans at some point and the real architect of the disaster will still be sitting in charge.

Looking at the remaining schedule I think they'll be hard pressed to get as many wins as they already have the rest of the way. The rest of March is brutal and April is only slightly better, looks like we'll have 3 games with the Flames in the final month to settle who is the worst in the west.
