O'Neill is a solid forward who can play both Wing and Center. I think you might see him moved somewhere around the deadline.
My predictions for possible landing areas( although not by plane, cause Jeff doesn't like to fly).
Colorado - If injury woes continue to plague the Avs, look for them to make a pitch for Jeff. I could see them sending a package of prospects and picks to Carolina.
Philadelphia - Clarke has dealt with Caroline before (see Kapanen) and if he can't land Iginla, O'Neill may be the next best thing. Maybe the center situation could be resolved by sending Zus or Comrie back the other way.
Detroit - See Colorado re: injuries. With the Wings getting somewhat long in the tooth up front, O'Neill might be a solution to the future needs of a consistently competitive hockey club. Hudler for O'Neill anyone?
Just my $.02

-Colorado can't afford to trade any more prospects. They are getting pretty thin in that Department. O'Neill would help with Kariya and Selanne leaving (possibly) next year. Vrbata, Nedorost, Drury, Reinprecht, Johansson area just a few of the offensive players they've moved in recent years.
-Philly is loaded up front. Loaded. They have enough scoring to go around, and i dont think they need any more. O'Neill would look good in philly, but i wonder what Philly would be willing to give up to get something they dont really need.
-Detroit could use O'Neill. A warrior type, Shanahan like. If Carolina was willing to do a Hudler for O'Neill swap, then i'd be all for it. I doubt they would settle for Hudler though.
