This is a vague thought. "To bring in the kind of player that continually disappoints" - I dont know what you mean there.

But in regards to other players that have exceeded my expectations under Torts:

Stepan
Hagelin
Nash (so far)
McDonagh
Girardi
Stralman

I could probably go on.

Anyway, to play well under Tortorella, you need to have a high compete level, you need to be a battler. Gaborik is missing that gene. Thats fine when hes scoring 40 goals. Whats been happening over these last 2 months is not fine, and it seems to be getting worse. At 31 years old and checkered injury history, time is running short for him to find it again.
