Sidenote, looking in the first round, a good number of Swedes drafted in the NHL have turned out to be legit allstars, or have a pretty good chance of becoming one.

Mikael Backlund

Mattias Tedenby

Victor Hedman
Oliver Ekman-Larsson
Magnus Paajarvi-Svensson
David Rundblad
Jacob Josefson
Tim Erixon
Marcus Johansson

Gabriel Landeskog
Adam Larsson
Jonas Brodin
Oscar Klefbom
Rickard Rakell

Already shown tons of promise in the NHL are the bolded (Karlsson, Landeskog, OEL, Hedman, Larsson, Brodin), and players with the potential to be high impact players like Rakell, Klefbom, and Erixon.

Then theres a bunch of passable 2nd tier players, Backlund, Tedenby, MPS, Josefson, Johansson who are still young and have room to grow.

The only bust was Gustafsson, and really the only other one so far the only other possible one is Rundblad (He still has a lot of time though).

I just found that pretty interesting. If you count the 2012 draft, Lindholm and Forsberg both moved up in the post-draft rankings.
