Likely. If it means they can land a big bodied, skillful power forward that can play top 6.

Everyone cites goaltending and the blueline as issues for the Oilers. They're not wrong.

But watching the team this year, it's apparent that all that firepower that's been accumulated is moot unless they can find solid balance up front. The blueline could still develop, and their performance is of course linked to Dubnyk's performance, which has been, at times this year pretty solid.

Thus, the priority is a big winger. Even if the pick is high enough to grab Jones or McKinnon, it won't be enough to pull the likes of Lucic out of Boston. But I'm talking more than a re-signed Clowe.
