When you opened the bag of chips, it smelt like someone just threw a glass of straight bourbon in your face. Turned out really well, but I might try soaking my own oak chips in some Makers for a few days, drying, and then using those. Curious to see how much of a difference there would be.

The BBQ sauce was the biggest hit, though. The base was a combo of blood orange and ginger liquor. Was incredible. Probably would do without the blood orange part next time, and use more ginger, but I love ginger. It was one of those meals where side dishes weren't wanted, and it was a race to the last rib.
