Bouillon is going to make about half of the average salary in this league. It's in no way a bad move on that aspect if he plays #7. In fact, most #7 d-men in the league win between 1 and 1.5M. That being said, Bouillon still is better than most.

I personally would have waited and might not have re-signed him that quickly, and I don't see him as a permanent top-6 d-man here next season, but I've seen weirder things. I personally don't think Tinordi is ready for the NHL on a full-time basis. He learned about the game this season, I want him to learn about the physical aspect of it at the next level next season.
This is what I also find odd. Why now?

My main gripe with signing Bouillon last year was that he's only getting older now, and he has shown to be injury prone. Guess I just have to cross my fingers and hope I'm wrong here.
