Their tickets sales are already at 12,000 and it finished at 8,000 last year. Their payroll probably can increase.

"Business booming in Buffalo: The Sabres' success on the ice last season is reflected in ticket sales for the coming season. The team has reached its target of 12,000 season-ticket packages, and that number represents full packages. The team will begin pushing mini-packs over the next month. Last year, the team had the equivalent of 8,000 season-tickets for the 18,690-seat HSBC Arena.

While fans are happy with the team, they're not thrilled with the Sabres' new jersey. Team president Larry Quinn admitted public opinion was decidedly against the new design, but he said there were further modifications in the works. And Quinn said the team would wear its old jerseys for 15 of its 41 home games."
