As much as people rag on Boyle--and Boyle has not played very well this year--he is more valuable than Pyatt if only because he pk's fairly well and does use his size more than Pyatt and he's decent on face-offs. Both players as well might be interesting to other teams who think they are playoff bound and who are looking to add depth. Both are vets with a decent amount of playoff experience. It is what it is--but between the two--even if he is more frustrating to watch Boyle's the more important player to this team.
This. Pyatt has been better offensively but defensively Boyle is better and he can PK and win face offs. IMO they both should go.
