Jeter may be done playing for now. He may start the year on the DL as well.

TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter needed a cortisone shot in his inflamed left ankle, setting back his rehab and casting further doubt on his ability to be ready for Opening Day.

In fact, general manager Brian Cashman acknowledged the possibility that Jeter, who broke the ankle in October in the American League Championship Series and needed surgery to help mend it, could begin the season on the disabled list.

Chien-Ming Wang is speaking to the team again. Not much but it's meh.

Chien-Ming Wang is having a tryout of sorts over the Yankees minor-league complex. Throwing for Yankees scouts.

Tex might not play this season at all. His injury may be worse than reported.

Shaping up to be a crap season in general.
